New Home in the Nicholas Building
We’ve finally setup in the Nicholas Building! With the the launch of our first exhibition Riso City it feels like we’re seeing how we can make the most of our cosy 32sqm space. It will be great to eventually move into a larger space, hopefully in the same building, and have weekly social events again. However, for now we’ll keep having weekly workshops and monthly exhibitions.
We’re currently trialing being open 1pm to 4:30pm Wednesday to Saturday. We have prints and zines for sale and I’m always open for a chat about Riso, paper making, printing, zines or anything really.
The fabric of the building is changing and it will be interesting to see the ebb and flow of this diverse creative community. Recently there has been a large turnover of spaces and some new businesses moving in. I’ve enjoyed starting to get to know some of the other creatives including jewellers, sculptors, zinesters, writers, film-makers, curators, painters and more.
Come explore the building and I hope to see you soon in the workshop gallery.
